About Jackson Potter

Formed in 1996 by work colleagues Steve Jackson and Ian Potter.  The firm has successfully arranged thousands of mortgages over the years.  The mortgage market has seen many changes in that time and we have successfully adapted along the way by offering an honest, transparent, confidential service to our large and ever growing customer base.

Originally based in the North East of England, we expanded our operation to the City of London in 2013 and this has seen a healthy growth in our business levels and client base.

We offer advice to all sectors of the market and have arranged loans on properties from £50,000 to in excess of £2.5 million.  We aim to treat all our customers with the same level of professionalism and courtesy.

Steve Jackson

Managing Director at Jackson Potter Ltd

Steve joined the financial services industry in 1992 having previously been a hotelier in Northumberland. Prior to that he worked at HMP Brixton in South London and the Central Criminal Court (Old Bailey) as catering officer in the eighties.

Steve is primarily involved with expanding the London customer base and has seen rapid expansion here over the last 4 years. Buy to Let lending is one of the specialist lending sectors he enjoys most. Concentrating on the bespoke needs of our clients and matching those to the best lending terms possible has seen him develop a niche group of City landlord clients and the success in this area is proving very satisfying.

Married with 2 adult children, Steve is an avid sports fan and unfortunately has followed Sunderland AFC most of his life. Had more success as a supporter of Durham CCC and England RFU. Keen skier and fell walker in his spare time. Owns a Ski Chalet in Austria which is, incidentally, available at a discounted rental rate to Jackson Potter clients.
